Diagnostic Radiology / Fluoroscopy

Welcome to the Diagnostic Radiology Department at Vermont Radiologists. Diagnostic Radiology at Vermont RadiologistsDiagnostic Radiology offers a complete imaging service ranging from chest and bone radiographs to IVP's (intravenous pyelogram) and barium studies. Walk-in patient's are welcome for routine x-ray's, and "wet reading's" are available upon request of the physician.

Upper GI, Barium Enema, SBFT and IVP studies should be scheduled in advance due to room availability and prepping considerations. Our small office setting provides for privacy in a relaxed atmosphere; very different from the Hospital setting. You'll find our modern radiology suite easily accessable, and our staff friendly and professional during your exam. We take the "stress" out of radiology procedures!

What is X-ray?

X-rays are a type of invisible electromagnetic radiation and create no sensation when they pass through the body. Modern x-ray techniques use only a fraction of the x-ray dose required compared to the early days of radiographs. The dose of radiation received from a normal chest x-ray is the approximate amount received from nature in 10 days.
